Welcome to the online home of Harpoon Books -- Nantucket Island's only used bookstore. Our online inventory includes new, used and out-of-print books on a variety of topics, but in our store at 18 Federal Street, we specialize in books on Asia and those that reflect the rich history and nautical traditions of Nantucket. We share this space with our affiliated company, Round the Horn, the place on Nantucket Island to find contemporary and traditional Asian art and gifts.
If after you search or browse through our inventory you cannot find what you want, fill out our off-line search form. We will search our substantial off-line inventory, other bookstores and book search services to find the book you seek. There is no extra charge for this service. Nantucket Visitors and Residents
There are no shipping or handling charges for books destined to a Nantucket address. You may either pick them up at 18 Federal Street or we will be happy to deliver to any on-island address. We buy books.
We are always looking to buy ephemera and books on Asian topics, whaling, travel & exploration, Pacific trade in the 18th and 19th centuries and items about Nantucket and its history.
